Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh made a bold prediction related to the finalists of the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 which is scheduled to take place in India in October - November.
Talking in a YouTube podcast with former cricketers Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan, Marsh predicted the finalists of the mega event which came as a surprise to the others.
Vaughan asked him about who he thinks will be the finalists of the World Cup.
However, Marsh showed unparalleled confidence in his side named a Pakistan vs Australia final in Ahmedabad on November 19.
"Who is going to win it? India, Pakistan or England?" Vaughan asked.
"I honestly think that it will be Australia v Pakistan in the final," Marsh replied.
Pakistan and Australia will lock horns in the mega event on October 20 in Chennai.
The ICC World Cup 2023 will take place in India with 10 teams fighting for the elusive title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.
The Cricket World Cup will be played in the round-robin format with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches.
The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. The semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.
According to tournament's regulations, all teams must finalise their 15-player squads prior to September 28, with any replacements after this date requiring approval from the ICC.

October 31 - vs Bangladesh in Kolkata
November 4 - vs New Zealand Bengaluru (Day match)
November 11 - vs England in Kolkata
The day matches which will start at 10:00am Pakistan Standard Time (PST) while all other matches will be day-night fixtures starting at 01:30pm (PST).
